Genie Names Melinda Zimmerman-Smith Manager of Marketing Communications

REDMOND, WASH. (April. 23, 2007) – Genie Industries announced today that Melinda Zimmerman-Smith has joined the company as marketing communications manager. In this role, she will be responsible for spearheading marketing communications strategies and programs for Genie, Terex Load King, Terex light construction products and Terex Construction Americas.

Zimmerman-Smith draws from nearly 10 years of marketing and public relations experience. Previously, Zimmerman-Smith was a marketing communications specialist for Comcast Corporation (North Bay Area) in San Rafael, Calif. During her five years with Comcast, she was responsible for local acquisition and customer retention marketing campaigns and communications and served as project manager for special local initiatives and product launches. Prior to 2002, she worked as a public relations account manager with Wilson McHenry Public Relations in San Francisco, where she managed external media relations and strategic planning for clients Plantronics, Inc., and Mellanox Technologies.

Zimmerman-Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland, Calif.
